Robotic Surgery

The future of Surgery has been greatly improved on since the introduction of Robotic Assisted Surgery.  The Robotic setup allows for a much improved visualization,greater dexterity, and less invasive approach compared to traditional open surgeries.  The da Vinci Surgery system is available for many surgical applications.

We are pleased to announce the purchase of the new da Vinci SI Robotic System at Manatee Memorial Hospital.  This is the latest state of the art robotic system available in the world.  Some of the benefits of this system include:

• Increased Visualization using advanced 3 Dimensional Cameras

We are performing Robotic Surgery for some of the following conditions:

• Gallbladder removal using one single incision that can be hidden in the belly button. The result is a virtually scar-less operation
• Colo-rectal Surgery for removal of part or all of the colon
• General Surgery Applications such as Hernias.
• Splenomegaly
